Two busy weekends down, 1 to go.
This weekend we invited Shaun and Aaron over to help get the pad down for the hot tub. Shaun made a heavy metal tamper to help compact the ground. Unfortunately it has quite heavy, and it needed 3 people to lift it.
But Grady was still willing to try to work it by himself, seeing as he was dressed to work.
Eventually the boys gave up and went and rented a compactor.
Grady has still been dealing with diaper rash, so we were letting him air out. The boys were excited for "that kind of party!"
We ended up bringing 6 truck loads of gravel in for the backyard, with most going to the hot tub pad.
Grady is getting stronger all the time, and loves standing.
We put a bit of gravel under the stones for the fire pit,
and made a small pad landing outside the garage man door.
We also picked up some nice rubber pads to make a walking path to the garage.
Nonw the hot tub is in place, just have to figure out how to hook it up.
After a long day, a nap was definitely on the agenda!
Next weekend we hope to finish the insulation work in the garage and set up more in there.

Wow! Your backyard is going to rock! Watching your work days/progress makes Malcolm and I excited for the day we have a house and yard too : )
So great that you put in a hot tub, Greg... that is gonna be SO nice for your cold winters.
Hope Grady's diaper rash clears up soon... poor guy.
